Dr. Prof. Harsh Wardhan

Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Wardhan is an eminent Cardiologist in New Delhi with more than 30 years' experience in the medical profession. He is currently Chairman - Cardiology at Rockland Group of Hospitals. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Harsh Wardhan has also been teaching throughout his career, and continues to do so as a designated Professor of Cardiology at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, and as a Thesis Guide for Delhi University's postgraduate students in Medicine.

Between receiving the MD (Medicine) and DM (Cardiology) degrees Dr. Harsh Wardhan underwent advanced training in UK, USA, Netherlands and Japan, in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology. These training opportunities were facilitated through a Commonwealth Medical Scholarship, a World Health Organization Fellowship, and a Japan International Co-operation Agency Fellowship.

Prior to his current association with Rockland, Dr. Harsh Wardhan gained vast experience between March 1979 and March 2013, working at reputed hospitals in New Delhi such as GB Pant Hospital, Safdarjang Hospital and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital. His immediate previous post was Professor, Consultant and Head-Department of Cardiology, Dr. RML Hospital and PGIMER, New Delhi.  

During the earlier part of his career, Dr. Harsh Wardhan was very active in the local chapters of medical associations such as the Indian Medical Association, Delhi Medical Association and Association of Physicians of India. Dr. Harsh Wardhan continues to be involved in the Delhi branch of the Cardiological Society of India as an executive committee member, which he has been since 2008.
